Huntington Underwriting Limited (“HUL,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity across all aspects of our operations. Although we are not subject to the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, we voluntarily publish this statement to affirm our strong opposition to all forms of modern slavery, human trafficking, and forced labour.

We recognise our responsibility to take a proactive approach in promoting fair labour practices and ensuring that modern slavery has no place within our business or our supply chain.

1. Our Business

HUL is a Managing General Agent (MGA) based in Hong Kong, providing insight-led underwriting solutions to brokers and capacity providers operating in niche and underserved markets. While our operations are not governed by UK regulation, we operate to internationally recognised standards of transparency, governance, and ethical practice.

2. Our Position on Modern Slavery

We are firmly opposed to slavery in all its forms, including forced labour, child labour, debt bondage, and human trafficking. We believe in the right of every individual to be treated with dignity, respect, and fairness. This belief underpins our internal policies and the way we engage with clients, partners, and service providers.

3. Our Operations and Supply Chain

HUL operates a lean corporate structure, with a supply chain that is limited in scope and primarily comprised of professional services firms (e.g. technology providers, legal advisers, insurance carriers, and consultants). We assess the risk of modern slavery within our direct operations as low. However, we remain vigilant in our approach to vendor selection and conduct due diligence to ensure our suppliers and partners maintain practices aligned with our values.

4. Our Commitments

HUL is committed to:

  • Maintaining transparent and ethical business practices
  • Conducting due diligence on suppliers, where appropriate, to identify and mitigate modern slavery risks
  • Incorporating anti-modern slavery language into relevant supplier agreements
  • Promoting awareness among our team regarding modern slavery and ethical responsibility
  • Responding promptly and appropriately to any concerns or reports of unethical labour practices

5. Reporting Concerns

We encourage all employees, business partners, and stakeholders to raise any concerns relating to suspected modern slavery or unethical conduct within our operations or supply chain. Reports can be made confidentially to:

📧 contact@huntingtonunderwriting.com

We treat all concerns seriously and will investigate and respond in accordance with our internal procedures.

6. Continuous Improvement

We are committed to continually reviewing and strengthening our approach to combatting modern slavery. As our business evolves, we will remain proactive in promoting ethical conduct and responsible sourcing.

This statement is made voluntarily and will be reviewed annually to ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness.

This statement reflects Huntington Underwriting Limited’s ongoing commitment to ethical practices and respect for human rights throughout our operations and supply chain.
